Wake-up Call

As is our usual routine on Saturday mornings, I got to sleep a little late today.  Jim comes to wake me up - and the kids tag along.  (Just try to leave a room without them!)  I must admit, I love being waken up by Jim and the kids.  And when I get them, the wet, sloppy kisses of my 21 month old are priceless!

This morning, I was subjected to the loving care of Dr. Allison.  I had my temperature taken before I got out of bed…  She used her plastic thermometer and declared, ”Thirty-eight-nine.  That’s high!  I think…?”  Then, I needed a shot… The plastic syringe is in the car so she used the other end of the thermometer.  She was very gentle and it didn’t hurt at all!  Then I got a band-aid …which was very tiny and came from inside the hat of a “Ponyville” My Little Pony toy.  For being good, I was awarded a plastic sword.

Thanks to Allison’s excellent care, I can report that I am feeling fine!
