Allison’s Plans for the Future
October 2, 2008 by Amy Jo.
Allison and I had a heart-to-heart talk today…
She thinks Carter should grow up and marry a nice girl. She’s going to marry a nice boy - not a bad boy - when she grows up. And when she has a baby she doesn’t want her name to be Mommy. She want to be called Allison. She thinks she might name her baby Allison. But she doesn’t know if it will be a boy or a girl baby in her tummy. I suggested that she can wait a few years to decide on the baby’s name.
I sure enjoy these talks we have! She’s so cute!

Carter Says
October 2, 2008 by Amy Jo.
Carter is at that stage where you have to be the mommy to understand what he’s talking about. And even then, there are times that I can’t figure it out! He’s making 3 word sentences regularly and really wants to tell us stuff. Here’s what he had to say when we drove up to preschool to pick Allison up yesterday…
CARTER: Date. Wok. Toes.
Translation: Gate. Lock. Close. (i.e. The gate is closed and locked.)
Two of his favorite words are tiny and top. And these he says clearly and he uses them accurately. I think he uses them to show off what he knows!
