Swamped

There’s no way around it, is there?  It is a busy time of year no matter how much I plan! 

• Jim is traveling for work again this week.
• Carter has a follow up doctor appointment.
• Allison had a party at school - for which we had to bring a wrapped gift and cupcakes.

Then there’s the normal last minute Christmas scramble… 

• Get the Christmas letter done and mailed. 
• Mail last minute gifts. 
• Go shopping for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day meals.
• Wrapped gifts for the kids.
• Shop for my husband’s Christmas gift!

And last but not least…

• Put up the Christmas tree before Christmas is over!

We either get the tree up the weekend after Thanksgiving or the weekend before Christmas…  It never seems like we can get it done anywhere in-between.  I am now in a mad scramble to get almost everything else done this week so we can sit back and enjoy the Christmas season next week…  Wish me luck!!

P.S. For those anxiously awaiting the posting of pictures from Allison’s dance recital… take a deep breath.  It might be a couple more days before I get it done!  For now, let’s just say that she was adorable!
