How To Make Your Sister Cry - by Carter
January 2, 2009 by Amy Jo.
Hi guys! It’s me, Carter! Mommy is letting me tell the story today because I happen to be an expert at getting a rise out of my big sister.
OK, here’s the thing. For the first 1+ years of my life, Allison took all my toys. And I was helpless - I mean helpless! - to do anything about it. But now, I’m a BIG two-years-old and I have a retaliation plan!
At first (when I was younger) I would hit her. With whatever toy I had in my hand at the time. Preferably on her head. That sure made her cry. But then I realized that every time I hit Allison, Mom spanked me and gave me a timeout. So, now that I am older and wiser, I have devised a new plan.
Here’s how it works: Whatever Allison says, I just reply, “No.”
Like this:
ALLISON: Blah, blah, blah, Carter.
ME (Carter): No.
ALLISON (whining already): Yes, CAR-ter!
ME: No.
ALLISON: Waaaaaah!
Brilliant. Works every time!

Good Lookin’ Eyes
January 2, 2009 by Amy Jo.
Last night there was a bright, beautiful crescent moon. Allison noticed that even though only part of the moon was lit up, she could still see the other part of the moon.
After an extensive discussion between her and Daddy about the moon and why part of it is dark, here’s what she had to say:
ALLISON: I can see the dark side of the moon because I have good lookin’ eyes.
DADDY (chuckling): Yes you do have good lookin’ eyes.
ALLISON: I can see as good as a skunk!
