Allison Says - Taking Turns
January 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
“Carter thinks taking turns is like when a car turns.”
Daddy takes this as an indication of a future understanding and appreciation of puns. And he is very proud.

Tractors
January 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
We are lucky enough to live in farming country. It’s lucky because I have a little boy who loves tractors. And we drive by a John Deere tractor store everytime we take Allison to preschool. It’s pretty much heaven for Carter. If only he could get Mom to stop and browse the tractor selection…
So, this morning, here’s what he had to say as we were driving by the John Deere store…
CARTER (in a cute little sing-song voice): Track-er, hee? Tracker, hee?
(i.e. Tractor, see? Tractor see?)
CARTER: (in a deep, no nonsense voice): BIG track-er. BIG!
Indeed it was a big tractor!
A big thank-you to John Deere Tractors for making me a smile today!

Allison Says - Color Wonder
January 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
ALLISON: Is Color Wonder for wondering while you color? Are you wondering what I am coloring?
(Not familiar with Crayola Color Wonder? It’s mess free markers that color only the special Color Wonder paper. Great for Mom’s with a Carter in the house!)

Fontifier
January 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
UPDATE 1/7/2008: A comment from “Mary” provided this website, which creates fonts for free! www.yourfonts.com Thank-you!
Creating Keepsakes magazine pointed me to this really cool website. At www.fontifier.com, you can use your own handwriting to create a font.
Great tool for scrapbookers! I can use the font I created for journaling. It works in Microsoft Word - I can change the size, make it bold or italics, change the color, etc. And if I make a mistake - just backspace and correct it before I print the final copy! When I am done, it will be neat and clean journaling in my own handwriting! Very cool!
