The Wall
April 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
The traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall has been at one of our local high schools this week. We went to see it yesterday. It is very well done and very moving. We took the kids with us, of course. We told them that everyone would be very quiet there and that they should be too. And we explained that on the wall were all the names of the people who died in a war a long time before they were born. Allison understands a little bit. Carter listened, but who knows what he understood. But both of them understood that they should be quiet. They were very good!

Pioneer Days Parade
April 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
While I scrapbooked a couple weeks ago, Jim took the kids to the Buckeye Pioneer Days Parade…
He took 60 pictures of it (the parade… only 5 or 6 were of the kids!). In fact, I have been uploading the pictures for this post for over a week! Check below to see what all he snapped…
KIDS
(Allison is saying, “Yee-haw!”)
TRACTORS
CARS
FIRE TRUCKS
LITTLE CARS
HORSES
ALLISON AND CARTER HUGGING
And finally, the best of the bunch…
Jim says he was taking their picture, and on their own they decided to hug.
Awwwwwwwwwww!

Significant Events
April 5, 2009 by Amy Jo.
Here are the big events that happened at the Maruschak Ranch today:
CHURCH - No one screamed or got taken out because of bad behavior. Even Mommy and Daddy were good.
BITING - Carter bit Allison on the back during a dispute over the soccer goal (and whether it should stay in Allison’s “bug garden” or go wherever little two-year-old boys think it should be taken to.) He drew blood and left a bruise. This is his first biting offense. Let’s hope the extensive timeout will ensure that it’s his last biting offense… (I can hope, right?)
SINGING IN THE SHOWER - Allison has decided that she likes showers better than baths. Tonight she was singing in the shower…
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturdaaaay!
